In September 2022 the Department for Continuity moved its operations into the public sphere for the first time in its 127-year history, replacing traditional undercover field agents with locally-sourced volunteers.

In areas where timespills were suspected, posters were displayed urging the public to call or email with details of any temporal anomalies they witnessed.

Volunteers were then recruited to help chrono-displaced people return safely to their era of origin.
